Of course, some days you don’t. On those days we come to this section of our site to remind ourselves that we do work that wins awards...and gets published in books. Of course, that’s on top of getting results for our clients, which is our biggest reward.
After receiving 16 ADDY awards, we’re getting more shelf space!
We enter our work in this competition every year, and we’re very happy when we get one award. So, you can imagine our surprise when we received 16 of them! That’s the most we’ve ever been awarded! We’re proud and, quite frankly, a little embarrassed.
What are the ADDYs? The ADDYs are considered amongst the most prestigious awards that an agency can receive for their work in the field of marketing communications. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDYs started out focusing exclusively on advertising work. Over time they have grown to include such items as logos, print and online collateral, point of purchase displays, as well as websites. The 2007 ADDY award winners were announced at a gala event on March 13 at Yahoo!’s headquarters in Sunnyvale.
ADDY Statuette: The Boys Sky Club Shirt

The Boys Ski Club is a private club dedicated to having a great time on the slopes. Every year, the members of the club select a new destination for their skiing adventures, and every year Liquid Agency is hired to interpret the logo a little differently. This year the destination was Vail, Colorado - and the logo was applied to shirts that were proudly worn by the club’s members on and off the slopes. We were quite surprised that this project took top honors, and we’re guessing that the judges must be skiers.

The website design for LSI was part of a comprehensive rebranding of the company. We worked closely with LSI’s internal teams to apply the new visual style to existing content, while also making some improvements to the navigation. The end result is a site that is better organized, easy to navigate and full of valuable content.

The website design needed to reflect the avant guarde nature of the event, while also providing the organization with a tool that was easy to manage and update. As such, the design needed to enable people to gain a clear understanding of the products so that people feel comfortable purchasing their new Olive system online.

Burning Man is an annual festival taking place in the Nevada Desert. The festival is a celebration of art, music and freedom of expression - and every year a few Liquid employees and their friends participate as part of a camp calles the “I’m OK, You’re OK Corral”. One of the many things that makes the event unique is the fact that there is no money used at Burning Man. Instead, people give each other gifts. This year we designed a green bandana as the gift that we would give to random people we met along the way.

When they opened it they discovered that the two companies shared similar histories and common goals. And, as they learned about each other they started to build a new corporate culture. The poster design is based on the concept of “A spark of Innovation” which has become the brand mantra for the new LSI.

We collaborated with world famous designer, Karim Rashid, on the industrial development of the products - which range from peelers to knives and feature advanced ceramic blade technology. So, we designed a promotional book that makes a thud when received by one of our potential clients.
