Of course, some days you don’t. On those days we come to this section of our site to remind ourselves that we do work that wins awards...and gets published in books. Of course, that’s on top of getting results for our clients, which is our biggest reward.
Liquid Agency wins twelve ADDY awards!
2010 marks another great year for Liquid Agency in terms of the number of awards we received at the Annual ADDY awards Advertising competition. We’re very happy that our work was honored with so many awards by our peers, but mostly, we’re grateful to have clients that allows us to work that make us proud.
What are the ADDYs? The ADDY’s are awards bestowed by the American Advertising Federation to recognized outstanding work in the field. This particular competition represents the best work done by agencies in Silicon Valley in categories that started out being mostly about advertising, but have expanded to include a wide range of disciplines that include brand identity, packaging, POP and websites.

The Golden Gate Chapter of the Young President’s Organization – a global network of CEOs – asked us to help them refresh their brand identity. The YPO GG Chapter includes many CEOs from the technology sector, so we created a visual style that reflects the dynamic and progressive nature of the members.

Gold ADDY Award: Sezmi

Sezmi is a new company that seeks to disrupt the current TV model by offering personalized TV services through the internet. Liquid has been working with Sezmi on a variety of branding initiatives, including the packaging solution that received a Gold ADDY award in this year’s competition. The design treats three sides of the box as the “front”, offering more opportunities for the way that it is displayed at retail – and helping communicate the personalized nature of the product.

Liquid has been working with Microsoft on a number of retail merchandising campaigns. This particular campaign was created to promote the Office for Mac suite of products, and introduce the new Business Edition software. We leveraged the yellow and black color scheme and simplified the design in order to create a strong branded presence for Microsoft at retail.

We helped Harris Stratex change its name to Aviat Networks and we developed a completely new identity system for the new brand. Aviat is a global provider of wireless networks. Our involvement with Aviat started with brand strategy and has included naming, visual style development, website, environments, and more.

Adidas has partnered with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to create a new line of clothing featuring the Clima Cool brand, and asked Liquid Agency to create a campaign to promote the partnership. Liquid developed an online branded experience that includes a website, a downloadable widget, a series of exclusive videos, and a set of email blasts to keep the fans excited and put both brands on the fast track to success. We focused on “The Computer is Personal Again” tagline and delivered an advertising campaign that ran in Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” issue – and included a booklet showcasing the variety of new HP systems celebrating the diversity of products and the unique personality of each system.

Their flagship product, Alex, gives you easy access to millions of ebooks enabling readers to explore the web through hyperlinks embedded in online books. Liquid created a logo that makes Alex a friend. An approachable character that consumers can like and trust. As additional Alex Reader products are introduced, we came up with a way to distinguish one from another with a unified approach. Any subsequent product models will utilize a short descriptor added to the product name – for example Alex Reader Mini or Alex Reader Tablet.
