Of course, some days you don’t. On those days we come to this section of our site to remind ourselves that we do work that wins awards...and gets published in books. Of course, that’s on top of getting results for our clients, which is our biggest reward.

Liquid Agency Wins 13 ADDY Awards Including Best of Show.

2009 makes it the first year that Liquid Agency has walked away from the ADDY’s winning a Judges Award as well as the Best of Show Award. We’re quite proud of this amazing recognition from our peers...and are particularly thankful to the clients who have allowed us to deliver award-winning work. Thank you!!!!

What are the ADDYs? The ADDYs are considered amongst the most prestigious awards that an agency can receive for their work in the field of marketing communications. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDYs started out focusing exclusively on advertising work. Over time they have grown to include such items as logos, print and online collateral, point of purchase displays, as well as websites. The 2009 ADDY Award Ceremony was held at The Improv Theater in San Jose California on March 10. Print Industries of Northern California
Category: Mixed/Multiple Media Campaign

The Printing Industries of Northern California asked us to design the marketing materials for its biggest annual event, the PINC show - which is attended by over 1,000 professionals from the printing, paper and marketing industries. The theme was the '60s and we found our inspiration in the Summer of Love in San Francisco.

ADDY Award: Numonyx Video
Category: Audio / Visual Sales Promotion (Video)

More and more, progressive companies are realizing that video is an exceptionally effective to communicate in a way that is memorable and engaging. For Numonyx we created a short video that captures the spirit of the brand and communicates the key messages that set Numonyx apart from its competition. The video can be used at the start of presentations and can also be downloaded from the website. As part of this assignment we also developed a logo-build sequence that can be used independently of the brand video as an animated logo signature.

Gold ADDY Award: Plastic Jungle
Category: Logo

Designed to look like a butterfly, the symbol for Plastic Jungle is made up of geometric shapes based on the familiar shape of gift cards. The end result is a logo that is easy to recognize, connects well with the name "Plastic Jungle", and has wide consumer appeal while also being appropriate for the B2B component of the company.

The logo design is geometrically precise as a way to connect the brand with a highly sophisticated engineering background - yet it is also dimensional and fluid to convey the idea that Numonyx is a company that adds a new dimension of flexibility to the way that it delivers solutions for its clients. Ultimately, the logo was designed to feel fresh and contemporary - while being an appropriate symbol for a company that is a leader in its industry.

Silver ADDY Award: Nexidia

Nexidia works with some of the world's largest contact centers, rich media companies, government agencies, and legal firms to help them realize the amazing possibilities now discoverable in audio and video content. We had an opportunity to work with a very talented team and helped develop a new brand identity program, which included the launch of an entirely new website. Designed to reach a wide variety of audiences (from government agencies to legal firms) the website is very rich in content, yet extremely easy to navigate - all of which is a reflection of a brand that is polished and professional yet very approachable.

The website design for Numonyx was a collaborative effort with cross-disciplinary teams working in the US and Europe to develop the website architecture, the content, the visual design and the technology platform with the ultimate goal to create a site that is highly informative as well as eminently easy to navigate (and to maintain).

Silver ADDY Award: Sparxent
Category: Logo

Sparxent is the world's largest and broadest technology and business solutions provider focused exclusively on mid-sized enterprise. By combining global best-of-breed capabilities with hands-on local professionals, they are the single source for IT consulting, installation and services. We were very lucky to work with a team of people that asked us to help them develop a brand from scratch. We started with the name, and the expressed the new name through a simple yet sophisticated corporate identity solution - and ultimately we also helped them deliver an outstanding website design.

Silver ADDY Award: Slice Packaging
Category: Campaign

Slice is a company with a whole new attitude towards products that cut, slice and grate. Liquid was asked to help develop this brand from the very beginning, and we've participated in the development of the strategy, naming, identity, products, packaging - and of course, marketing programs. We're collaborating with such world class architects and designers as Karim Rashid, Michael Graves and Yves Behar...as a result the Slice brand that is capturing the attention of the media and of consumers thanks to innovative design and a sassy personality.

Category: Brand Kits and Literature

As part of the brand launch for Numonyx, we developed what we called a "Day One Kit". This package included an introduction to the brand, a corporate brochure, a t-shirt, a desktop calendar, and other branded items that served as an internal introduction of the brand to the 9,000 employees of the newly formed company - and as delivered to them on "Day One" as a new company. As a note, Numonyx was formed because of the merger of Intel and ST Micro - instantly creating the largest dedicated FLASH memory company in the world.

Bronze ADDY Award: Olive
Category: Interactive / Websites

Olive products are sold exclusively through its website. For this reason, it was crucial that the site design was very easy to navigate and use. Additionally, the site also needs to presents the products in a compelling and interesting manner. We worked closely with Olive to develop the information architecture and organizational structure, as well as all the content. The site provides ample opportunities to showcase the products as well as the brand's commitment to offering a superior audio experience.

Bronze ADDY Award: Numonyx
Category: Advertising Campaign

Liquid was hired to develop the brand identity and launch campaign for the biggest brand in the memory industry: Numonyx. This "start up" was formed when Intel and ST Micro merged their memory units and formed the world's largest company dedicated to memory products. The project included a wide variety of deliverables, making it one of the most comprehensive branding assignments we've ever undertaken. In the image above you can see one of the ads.
